Stations

Uniting our sufferings with Christ’s sufferings for the sake of others is what you’ll find praying the Stations of the Cross with the Prayer of Saint Gertrude. While I was on retreat, after the passing of my husband, I found true consolation praying the Stations of the Cross like never before. Once home I felt compelled to put together this way of praying the Stations of the Cross. I added a fifteenth Station – The Resurrection. Every Station includes a scripture passage and the Prayer of Saint Gertrude the Great. Mary told Blessed Veronica of Binasco, a 15th century mystic, in a vision, that meditating on the Passion of Christ – daily – pleases Her. Veronica was also told that meditating on Jesus’ Passion would free her from the anxiety she was experiencing at the time.

You’ll find in this video that the first seven slides are instructional and at the eight slide is where the Praying of the Stations begins.

May you find the peace I found praying the Stations of the Cross with the Prayer of Saint Gertrude. God Bless You! Madeleine Porter
