HOW TO PRAY THE FIAT ROSARY

With the Crucifix make the Sign of the Cross.  In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.  Amen.  

On the blue bead recite THE FIAT PRAYER:  (by Cardinal Suenens)

Most Holy Spirit, help me to relive, in union with Mary,

the joyful, luminous, sorrowful, and glorious mysteries of Jesus. 

Grant that I may be inspired by the Faith of my Baptism,

nourished by the Eucharist, and renewed in the grace of Pentecost,

so as to live, in word and deed, always and everywhere,

as a faithful witness of Christ and of the love of His Divine Heart.    Amen.

On the yellow bead recite this simple CREED:  

I believe in God the Father, Maker of our world so wide

I believe in Jesus Christ, who for me was crucified.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, sent by God to be my guide.

I believe in the Catholic Church and all the saints in heaven too.

I know that God forgives my sins and helps me to begin anew. 

On the red bead recite in your own words a prayer of thanksgiving: 

I thank you Jesus for….

On the white bead recite in your own wordsa prayer of petition.  

I ask you Jesus for….

On the Medal and said but once in this rosary recite:                                                    

OUR FATHER who art in heaven, holy is your name. 

Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. 

Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses

as we forgive those who trespass against us. 

And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.  Amen.  

For all Twelve Mysteries starting with the Joyful Mysteries on the blue beads, the mystery in announced, the scriptural meditation is read and three HAIL MARYs and a simple GLORY BE is recited.  Repeat this process for all twelve mysteries.                                     (Below the Hail Mary and short Glory Be)

HAIL MARY full of grace the Lord is with you;

blessed are you among women, 

and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus. 

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners,

now and at the hour of our death.  Amen.

GLORY BE to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit.  Amen.

ENDING PRAYERS

On the Fiat Medal recite the FATIMA PRAYER:                                 O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, and lead all souls to heaven, especially those who have most need of your mercy.

On the white bead:  St. Joseph Guardian of the Holy Family, protect us.

On the red bead:  St. Michael the Archangel, from the powers of evil defend us.

On the yellow bead:  All the Angels and the Saints, pray for us.

On the blue bead:  PRAYER TO OUR LADY OF THE FIAT            O Mary, Our Lady of the Fiat, I place in the protection of your holy hands my going out, my coming in, my sleeping, my waking, the sight of my eyes, the touch of my hands, the speech from my lips, and the hearing of my ears, so that in everything I may be pleasing to you and your Beloved Son, Jesus.  Amen.

End with the Sign of the Cross:  In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.   Amen.
